Savannah Avery

I am entering my fourth year at the University of Missouri School of Journalism, where I am on an accelerated path to earn my master's in Broadcast Journalism. My journey has been dynamic, fueled by hands-on experience at Mizzou Broadcast Operations with the SEC Network, where I wear multiple hats as a sideline reporter, technical director, assistant director, and social media content creator. At mid-Missouri's NBC affiliate, KOMU 8, I proudly anchor sports and produce a variety of shows each week.

As a dedicated team player, I embody leadership, trust, and open-mindedness, always striving to learn and elevate my skills. The world of sports journalism is my arena, and I am determined to make waves as I advance my career. My accelerated master’s program is not just a goal; it's a launchpad for my ambition in this fast-paced industry.
